APEX Ace Award: Erin Murnane, East Syracuse Minoa girls volleyball. With her 11 kills, 14 digs and five aces, Murnane helped the Spartans battle its way to a five-set victory over Chittenango on January 21.
Atlas Fence All-Star: Aubrey Greene, Central Square girls indoor track and field. Greene cleared 10 feet 6 inches to win the pole vault and was third in the long jump helping the Redhawks win the SCAC Empire division championship January 24 at SRC Arena.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Kaden Durham, Homer boys basketball. The Trojans battled past Solvay 57-53 on January 23 largely due to Durham putting together of 18 points and 13 rebounds while also contributing six blocks.
The Image Press Icon: Grady Gaudet, Oneida boys swimming. Gaudet’s first-place finishes in the 200 and 100-yard freestyle helped propel the Express to a 53-41 victory over Holland Patent on January 23.
JKS Roofing High Achiever: John Musante, Clinton boys indoor track and field. The Comets dominated the Center State Conference Division I championship January 25 as Musante was victorious in both the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs. Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Genevieve Smart, Skaneateles girls ice hockey, hitting on three goals in as many periods for a hat trick to help the Lakers stay undefeated and defeat Adirondack United 3-1 on January 24 at Allyn Arena.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Gino Bullock, Christian Brothers Academy boys basketball. Bullock set a career mark with 17 points and helped the Brothers knock off state-ranked Bishop Grimes 47-46 on January 24.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Drew Telesky, Sherburne-Earlville wrestling. Telesky went 4-0 in a week where the Timberwolves won the Section III Division II Dual Meet and then prevailed in the Center State League Tournament.
North Syracuse Lawn and Snow Notable Effort: Faith Perry, West Canada Valley girls indoor track and field. Perry was victorious in both the shot put and weight throw helping West Canada take the team title in the January 25 Center State Conference Division III championships.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Caleb Savery, Holland Patent boys basketball. The Golden Knights put away Mount Markham 72-55 on January 21 led by Savery, whose 24 points set a season mark.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Alessio McGrane, Baldwinsville ice hockey, hitting both the tying goal in the third period and the winning goal in overtime to help the Bees defeat Broome County 5-4 on January 25. 110 Grill Award of Excellence: Isabella Terzioski, Central Valley Academy girls basketball. Terzioski augmented her team-high 16 points with eight steals which helped the Thunder push past Oneida 48-36 on January 24. Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Ethan Reitema, Weedsport boys bowling. Reitema rolled a perfect 300 game at Strike-N-Spare Lanes plus games of 225 and 216 for a 741 series as the Wolverines defeated Bishop Grimes 5-2 on January 24.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Jack Lalik, Fayetteville-Manlius ice hockey. Lalik earned a three-goal hat trick and helped the Hornets pull off a 5-4 victory over state-ranked Cicero-North Syracuse on January 21 at Cicero Twin Rinks.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Nick Lavesa-Cesana, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill boys volleyball. When the Red Devils defeated Rome Free Academy in four sets on January 21 Cesana dominated at the net picking up 23 kills and added 16 digs on defense.
Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists Student-Athlete: Keahra Rodriguez, Onondaga girls indoor track and field. By winning the long jump and the triple jump, Rodriguez led the Tigers to the team title in the Onondaga High School League Division II championships January 25 at SRC Arena.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Aiden Wright, West Genesee wrestling, beating Central Square’s Chris Pulis 4-2 at 101 pounds to clinch a 33-23 Wildcats victory and the Section III Division I Dual Meet January 20 at Jefferson Community College.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Fern Jewett, General Brown girls wrestling. A perfect 27-0 on the season, Jewett added the 94-pound championship at the Revolution Tournament January 25 at Canandaigua defeating Wayne’s Amelia Armstrong 10-0 in the finals.
