Atlas Fence All-Star: Madelyn Lund, Southern Hills girls lacrosse. Lund picked up six goals and two assists to help lead the Storm past Syracuse City by a score of 20-11 on May 2.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Maddie Foy, Marcellus girls track and field. Foy swept to titles in both the 100 hurdles (15.33 seconds) and 400 hurdles (1:05.94) during the May 2 Ed Wadas Memorial Invitational at Whitesboro.
CNY Softwash & Pressure Washing Winning Achievement: Connor Wiggins, Whitesboro boys lacrosse. When Whitesboro sailed past Holland Patent 18-7 on May 2 Wiggins had a part in nearly half the scoring plays with six goals and two assists.
Hello Garage Game Changer: Alex Foley, Clinton boys tennis. Foley’s straight-set singles win over David Escamilla 6-1, 6-1 helped the Comets remain undefeated and take out Mount Markham 3-2 on April 30.
The Image Press Icon: Maddenleigh Soluri, Sandy Creek softball. Solui dominated for the Comets in its 3-0 victory over Lowville on April 28 pitching a complete game, only allowing one hit and amassing 16 strikeouts.
Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Braydon Sentz, Cooperstown boys golf, shooting a 36 for nine holes and helping the Hawkeyes claim its first match of the season 162-179 over Mount Markham on May 1.
Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Quentin Lewis, Christian Brothers Academy boys track and field. During the April 26 Chittenango Invitational Lewis won the triple jump and was second in the long jump helping the Brothers to the team title.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Ben Carroll, Bishop Grimes baseball. Carroll was three-for-five with four RBIs in the first game and pitched a complete game-shutout with 14 strikeouts in the second game of a sweep of Tully April 28 and May 2.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Charlie Carbonaro, Skaneateles boys lacrosse. When the Lakers rolled to a 20-10 win over Marcellus on May 2 Carbonaro continued to lead the attack with five goals and two assists.
North Syracuse Lawn and Snow Notable Effort: Olivia Macutek, Watertown girls lacrosse. Macutek picked up six goals and added three assists, all of which helped the Cyclones get a 15-11 victory over Auburn on April 30.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Jaeda Robinson, Jamesville-DeWitt girls golf. Robinson shot a 45 tying for the top individual spot as the Red Rams won the first SCAC Empire Division match of the season April 28 at Oswego Country Club.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Ryan Sullivan, East Syracuse Minoa boys track and field, clearing 6 feet 2 inches in the high jump to win that event at the Spartans’ own invitational meet on May 3.
110 Grill Award of Excellence: Brit Dicob, Beaver River baseball. It was Dicob’s ground-rule double in the sixth inning which drove in the winning run for the Beavers knocked off Bishop Ludden 6-5 on May 3.
Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Melanie Wiley, Thousand Islands softball. In an incredible pitching performance May 1 Wiley threw a no-hitter which included 20 strikeouts as the Vikings topped Belleville-Henderson 6-0 to stay undefeated.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Braxton Lucas, Central Square boys lacrosse. It was all Lucas for the Redhawks as he poured in nine goals carrying his side to an 11-4 victory over Oswego on May 1.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Vanessa Trumble, Pulaski girls track and field. During the May 3 East Syracuse Minoa Invitational Trumble ran through the rain to take the 100-meter dash in 12.96 seconds over a host of large-school opponents.
Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists Student-Athlete: Allison Kittell, West Genesee girls lacrosse. When the Wildcats poured out offense in a 23-13 win over Christian Brothers Academy May 3 Kittell led the way producing seven goals.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Aubrey Coyle, Cicero-North Syracuse softball, hitting a fourth-inning solo home run for the game’s only run as the Northstars outlasted archrival Liverpool 1-0 on May 1.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Joey Awald, Cazenovia baseball. Awald’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning capped a four-run rally that helped the Lakers defeat Solvay 4-3 on May 2 avenging a loss to the Bearcats earlier in the week.
