APEX Ace Award: Addison Cook, Whitesboro softball. Cook kept Whitesboro going in a 6-4 win over archrival New Hartford on May 8 pitching a complete game with nine strikeouts while getting two hits at the plate and scoring a run.
Atlas Fence All-Star: Ryan Babikan, Jamesville-DeWitt boys lacrosse. When the Red Rams defeated Baldwinsville 11-10 on May 8 Babikan was a big part of his team’s attack scoring five goals to match his best single-game total.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Julius Spaights, Phoenix boys track and field. Victories in the 200 and 400-meter sprints along with a high jump of 5 feet 10 inches by Spaights helped the Firebirds beat Christian Brothers Academy 87-53 in their May 5 meet.
CNY Softwash & Pressure Washing Winning Achievement: Tricia Price, General Brown girls lacrosse. With her five goals and two assists Price played a central role helping the Lions turn back Central Square 13-8 on May 8.
The Image Press Icon: Tom Goodelle, New Hartford boys golf. Going under par with a nine-hole score of 34 Goodelle helped lead the unbeaten Spartans past Rome Free Academy 188-208 on May 5.
Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Liverpool girls track and field sprinters sweeping the individual 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes and combining to take the 4×100 relay to help the Warriors to the team title in the May 9 John Arcaro Coed Classic at Baldwinsville.
Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Carson Kempney, Lowville boys lacrosse. Piling up four goals and seven assists, Kempney carried Lowville to a 14-7 victory over South Jefferson on May 8.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Madison Romocki, Fayetteville-Manlius flag football. Romocki scored her team’s only touchdown and added nine tackles on defense as the Hornets upended Baldwinsville 7-6 on May 7.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Madison Safin, Rome Free Academy softball. When the Black Knights battled past West Genesee 9-6 on May 5 Safin earned a pair of hits and led her team with four RBIs.
North Syracuse Lawn and Snow Notable Effort: Chris Kelly, Holland Patent boys tennis. Kelly’s straight-set singles win over James Hanmer got the Golden Knights going in a 4-1 win over Hamilton in the May 10 opening round of the Section III Class C team tournament.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Paul Mitchell, Cazenovia boys lacrosse. When the Lakers managed to shut out Chittenango 13-0 on May 8 Mitchell was the pace-setter on offense earning a three-goal hat trick plus three assists.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Amitees Fazeli, Manlius Pebble Hill girls golf shooting a 42 at Camillus Golf Club, five strokes ahead of any other individual, in the Trojans’ 210-214 victory over Westhill on May 5.
110 Grill Award of Excellence: Hailey Workman, Mexico girls lacrosse. Workman notched five goals and tacked on three assists which helped the Tigers defeat Section V’s Marcus Whitman 13-9 on May 5.
Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Luke Liedka, East Syracuse Minoa baseball. Liedka only allowed one hit and got 12 strikeouts on the mound while also earning a pair of RBIs as the Spartans blanked Fulton 12-0 on May 5.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Kaylee McGrath, Homer girls track and field. The Trojans rolled to a 93-39 victory over its neighbors from Cortland May 7 as McGrath swept all three distance races at 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Kiara Harmer, Central Square flag football. Harmer threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns to help the Redhawks roll past Sherburne-Earlville 32-7 on May 7.
Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists Student-Athlete: Katie Crippen, Cooperstown softball. Crippen hit a home run, got three other singles, scored four runs and got four RBIs all in the Hawkeyes’ 12-3 victory over Milford on May 8.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Baldwinsville boys track and field’s 4×100 relay team running to first place to help the Bees edge Cicero-North Syracuse and claim the team title at its own John Arcaro Coed Classic on May 9.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Mya Carroll, Fulton girls lacrosse. Piling up eight goals and adding a pair of assists, Carroll pushed the Red Dragons to a 16-4 romp over East Syracuse Minoa on May 10.
