Awards for 4/4/2026

APEX Amazing Athlete: Nick Service, Frankfort-Schuyler baseball. Service allowed just one hit and struck out 10 in a dominant pitching performance as the Maroon Knights beat Fort Plain 8-0 on April 4.

Atlas Fence All-Star: Landon Gentile, New Hartford boys lacrosse. In a Spartan clash with East Syracuse Minoa on March 31, New Hartford prevailed 11-7 carried in its attack by Gentile notching five goals and three assists.

B&B Lumber Big Mover:  Alayna Wood, Syracuse City girls lacrosse. Wood’s six goals and two assists were pivotal in helping Syracuse rally late to defeat East Syracuse Minoa 16-14 on April 1.

Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Katelyn Millard, McGraw softball. Millard’s home run and three RBIs paced a potent Eagles attack as it routed Groton 20-1 in its April 1 season opener.

Clifton Recycling Rewarding Effort: Nik Kunai, Bishop Ludden-Grimes baseball. Kunai’s two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning keyed a Gaelic Knights comeback as it beat Lansing 8-5 on April 4 at Gutchess Park.

CNY Softwash & Pressure Washing Superstar: Cheyenne Walesman, Carthage softball. Walesman picked up 14 strikeouts and allowed just five hits pitching the Comets past Copenhagen 8-2 on March 30.

Fire Brothers Red-Hot Performance: Alayna Wood, Syracuse City girls lacrosse. Wood’s six goals and two assists were pivotal in helping Syracuse rally late to defeat East Syracuse Minoa 16-14 on April 1.

F.W. Webb Winning Effort: Miles Patchen, Jamesville-DeWitt boys lacrosse. In an exciting 11-10 victory over Canandaigua on April 1 Patchen led the Red Rams notching three goals and two assists.

The Image Press Icon: Garrick Ott, Cortland baseball. Between his two hits, walk, RBI and run scored, Ott led the Purple Tigers past archrival Homer 17-7 on April 2 at Gutchess Park.

Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Chris Doshna, Marcellus boys lacrosse, earning his 322nd career point to become the Mustangs’ all-time leading scorer during his team’s 17-13 victory over Liverpool on April 3.

Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Allie Teal, Lowville softball. Red-hot at the plate, Teal went five-for-five, also stealing three bases and scoring twice in the Falcons’ 12-2 victory over Indian River on April 1.

Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Elizabeth Blake, Fulton girls lacrosse. The Red Dragons put away Rome Free Academy 16-5 on March 30 with Blake a key factor thanks to her four goals and one assist.

M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Ayshur Gerow, Beaver River baseball. Between his four shutout inning on the mound and three RBIs at the plate Gerow pushed the Beavers past Adirondack 10-0 on April 1.

Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Connor Dautrich, Auburn boys lacrosse. Piling up five goals and four assists, Dautrich was unstoppable in the Maroons’ 16-7 win over Central Square on April 1.

Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Aubree Turk, Camden softball. Despite nine walks, Turk allowed just four hits and kept South Jefferson off the scoreboard in the Blue Devils’ 6-0 victory on March 30.

O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Jacob Stock, Baldwinsville baseball, scoring all the way from first base on a fly ball and error in the bottom of the eighth inning to help the Bees beat reigning state Class AAA champion Saratoga Springs 5-4 on April 4.

Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Sloane Massa, Christian Brothers Academy girls lacrosse. The Brothers rolled past Fulton 18-2 on April 1 led in its attack by Sloane pouring in seven goals and an assist.

Potter and Perone Special Performance: Dawson Foley, General Brown boys lacrosse. Foley’s four goals and two assists were part of a well-balanced Lions attack as it pulled away from Tully 16-6 on April 1.

Premier Hardwood Premier Player: Andrew Kielbasa, Chittenango baseball. With a single, double, triple and four RBIs Kielbasa propelled the Bears to a 9-3 victory over Wildwood on April 4 at the Ripken Experience.

Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Sophie Walsh, Indian River girls lacrosse. The Hawks earned a 13-7 win over General Brown on April 1 with Walsh at the forefront earning six goals.

Rockbridge Investment Management Risk Taker: Kianaliz Santiago, Cazenovia softball. Santiago singled twice, drew a walk, had an RBI and scored twice as the Lakers topped Mayfield 11-5 in the Mudville Tournament on March 30.

Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Evan O’Neil, Syracuse City boys lacrosse. Syracuse decimated Utica Proctor 22-2 on April 2 with O’Neil setting a new career mark as he poured in seven goals, all in the first three quarters.

Sierson Crane and Welding Superstar:  Trey Borkowski, East Syracuse Minoa baseball. Borkowski got a single and double, scored a run and pitched three scoreless innings as the Spartans shout out Ithaca 6-0 on April 4 at Gutchess Park.

Top Notch Roofing Top Star: Aliana West, South Jefferson girls lacrosse. West gained five goals and two assists helping the Spartans outlast Cicero-North Syracuse 14-13 in overtime on March 28.

University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Alanna Bowman, West Genesee softball driving home Brynlee Elkins with the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as the Wildcats beat Kentucky’s Lewis County 5-4 on April 1 in Tennessee.

U.S. Army Athlete of the Week: Dalton Logudice, Liverpool baseball. Logudice threw five shutout innings only allowing two hits as the Legends blanked New Jersey’s Cherry Hill 5-0 on April during its Myrtle Beach trip.

Wilkins RV Winning Player: Dominick Sommers, Cicero-North Syracuse boys lacrosse. Sommers’ four goals set the pace for the Northstars as it pushed past Bethlehem 16-6 on March 28 to improve its record to 2-0.

Wonder Windows Winning Performance: Brooke Coffey, Skaneateles girls lacrosse. Coffey’s 11 saves keyed the Lakers’ 11-10 win over Shaker on March 28 which gave head coach Bridget Marquardt her 400th career victory, all at this school.
