Atlas Fence All-Star: Andrea Barnum, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill girls basketball. The Red Devils beat Westhill 52-36 in the opening round of the Section III Class A playoffs led by Barnum producing 24 points and 10 rebounds.
B&B Lumber Big Mover: Drew Witchley, Whitesboro ice hockey. Witchley earned two goals and two assists pacing Whitesboro as it defeated Oswego 9-3 in the February 17 Section III Division II quarterfinals.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Aiden Marchese, Central Valley Academy boys volleyball. In the Thunder’s four-set victory over Canastota on February 19 Marchese paced the front line putting away 16 kills while adding eight digs.
Clifton Recycling Rewarding Effort: Addison Way, New Hartford girls basketball. Earning 18 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists Way led the Spartans past South Jefferson 73-42 in the February 20 opening round of the Section III Class A playoffs.
CNY Softwash & Pressure Washing Superstar: Howard Wright, Onondaga boys basketball. The Tigers ousted Hamilton 66-55 in the February 20 opening round of the Section III Class C playoffs led by Wright’s 24 points and six rebounds.
Fire Brothers Red-Hot Performance: Samantha Massey, Mount Markham girls wrestling. Massey was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the February 15 Section III championships at SRC Arena when she prevailed at 107 pounds.
F.W. Webb Winning Effort: Nathan Best, Tully boys basketball. Earning 22 points, Best led the Black Knights as it put away Waterville 69-53 on February 21 in the opening round of the Section III Class C playoffs.
The Image Press Icon: Camryn Daggett, Cato-Meridian girls basketball. The Blue Devils topped McGraw 51-34 in the February 19 opening round of the Section III Class C playoffs with Daggett earning 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Gracie Vazquez, Fulton girls wrestling, pinning teammate Hayleigh Lenz in 43 seconds to win the 185-pound title in the February 15 Section III championships at SRC Arena.
Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Alessio McGrane, Baldwinsville ice hockey. Led by McGrane’s two goals and one assist, the Bees shut out Cicero-North Syracuse 5-0 in the February 18 Section III Division I quarterfinals.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Ca’Meyle Martin, Henninger girls basketball. Martin earned 21 points, 15 rebounds, three steals and three assists as the Black Knights defeated Phoenix 71-49 on February 17.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Theo Williams, Dolgeville boys basketball. The Blue Devils routed Westmoreland 93-52 in the February 17 regular-season finale as Williams earned 31 points, seven assists and four steals.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Riley Butler, West Genesee girls wrestling. Butler topped Fayetteville-Manlius’ Lacey Teaken 12-2 to win the 126-pound title during the February 15 Section III championships at SRC Arena.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Elijah Pomales, Rome Free Academy boys volleyball. Pomales picked up 25 assists and 10 digs when the Black Knights defeated Central Valley Academy in four sets on February 17.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Zenon Derocha, Hannibal boys wrestling, pinning Camden’s Talon Kimball in the second period to win the 144-pound title in the February 14 Section III Division II championships at SRC Arena.
Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Jack Bukowski, Central Square boys basketball. Bukowski picked up 24 points as the Redhawks went to Fayetteville-Manlius and beat the Hornets 62-54 in the February 20 opening round of the Section III Class AA playoffs.
Potter and Perone Special Performance: Mia Ponte, Central Valley Academy girls basketball. When the Thunder beat Homer 55-40 in the opening round of the Section III Class A playoffs on February 20 Ponte gained 15 points, eight steals, four assists and four rebounds.
Premier Hardwood Premier Player: Molly Sorenson, Homer girls wrestling. Sorenson worked her way to the 165-pound title and moved to 41-1 on the season during the February 15 Section III championships at SRC Arena.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Colton Bobowski, Clinton boys ice hockey. The Comets defeated CBA/Jamesville-DeWitt 4-2 in the February 18 Section III Division II quarterfinal as Bobowski picked up a goal and added two assists.
Rockbridge Investment Management Risk Taker: Ava Carpenter, Bishop Ludden-Grimes girls basketball. Carpenter drove to the winning basket in the final seconds to help the Gaelic Knights battle past Christian Brothers Academy 49-47 on February 16.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Michael Sales, Leadership and Citizen Academy boys basketball. Sales’ 27 points led the Atoms to a 71-58 win over Westmoreland in its first-ever Section III playoff game in the Class C opening round on February 19.
Sierson Crane and Welding Superstar: Robert Huntley, Sauquoit Valley boys volleyball. Led by Huntley’s 17 kills and eight digs the Hawks earned a three-set sweep of Oneida on February 19 to conclude a 13-3 regular season.
Top Notch Roofing Top Star: Ava Roberts, Holland Patent girls volleyball. Roberts earned more than 100 kills to lead the Golden Knights this season as it made its way to the Section III Class B winter championship.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Carthage boys basketball, who was 0-20 a season ago, knocking off Oswego 73-66 in the February 20 opening round of the Section III Class AA playoffs to improve to 16-4 this season.
U.S. Army Athlete of the Week: Mason Hurst, Watertown boys basketball. Hurst pulled off a unique triple-double of 13 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists in the Cyclones’ 71-55 win over Whitesboro in the February 21 opening round of the Section III Class AA playoffs.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Maryna Harrod, Frankfort-Schuyler girls basketball. The Maroon Knights beat Morrisville-Eaton 62-45 in the first round of the Section III Class C playoffs on February 21 as Harrod had 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Wonder Windows Winning Performance: Rylie Meagher, Camden girls wrestling. Pinning Holland Patent’s Lexi Doxstader in the finals, Meagher won the 120-pound title during the February 15 Section III championships at SRC Arena.
