APEX Amazing Athlete: Macon Kingsley, South Jefferson boys track and field. Kingsley threw the discus 147 feet 10 inches and the shot put 53 feet 4 1/2 inches to win both events in the April 24 Chittenango Invitational.
Atlas Fence All-Star: Gianna Thurlow, Fulton girls lacrosse. The Red Dragons claimed an 11-9 victory over Oswego on April 24 guided in no small part by Thurlow earning four goals and adding an assist.
B&B Lumber Big Mover: Matt McLaughlin, Holland Patent boys lacrosse. Piling up four goals and eight assists, McLaughlin helped the Golden Knights earn its first victory of the season on April 21 when it defeated Utica Proctor 16-6.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Carlysle Ducey, Cazenovia girls golf. Shooting a 42 at Skaneateles Country Club, Ducey beat the field by six strokes as Cazenovia remained undefeated by holding off Skaneateles 209-214 on April 21.
Clifton Recycling Rewarding Effort: Anthony Sada, Jamesville-DeWitt baseball. Sada pounded out two home runs, added a triple and set a career mark with eight RBIs as the Red Rams dominated Syracuse City on April 24 and prevailed 18-0.
Fire Brothers Red-Hot Performance: Remington Stull, McGraw softball. The Eagles beat reigning state Class D champion Hamilton 1-0 on April 25 with a tremendous pitching performance from Stull who only allowed two hits and two walks while recording nine strikeouts.
F.W. Webb Winning Effort: Evan Partis, Homer boys lacrosse. Carrying the Trojans’ attack, Partis amassed six goals and two assists to help his side defeat Central Square 11-7 on April 24.
The Image Press Icon: Mollie Peckham, General Brown girls lacrosse. The Lions pulled away from Watertown IHC 19-5 on April 21 getting a big performance from Peckham who finished with four goals and five assists.
Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Alfred Hom, Cooperstown boys tennis, defeating Owen LoGalbo in a third-set tie-breaker keying the Hawkeyes’ 6-1 win over Sauquoit Valley in an April 22 clash between two undefeated Center State Conference sides.
Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Nick Russo, Frankfort-Schuyler baseball. Every bit of Russo’s four RBIs generated from a triple and two singles was needed for the Maroon Knights to win a 14-13 classic over previously unbeaten Little Falls on April 2.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Maggie Brown, Cato-Meridian girls track and field. Earning 2,899 points, Brown lapped the field to win the five-event pentathlon during the Chittenango Invitational on April 24.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Ruth Birmingham, East Syracuse Minoa softball. Birmingham’s three hits, three runs scored and three RBIs sparked the Spartans on its way to a 13-4 victory over Auburn on April 21.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Brady Neuner, Fabius-Pompey baseball. Neuner kept the Falcons unbeaten in a 19-9 victory over LaFayette on April 24 with a double, two singles, four stolen bases, four runs scored and five RBIs.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Ryan McNerney, Lowville boys lacrosse. The Red Raiders claimed an 18-13 battle over Tully on April 25 with McNerney at the forefront thanks to his five goals and two assists.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: West Genesee girls lacrosse netting the winning goal in overtime at Jamesville-DeWitt on April 25 to secure an 8-7 victory and keep the Wildcats undefeated as it moved to 9-0 on the season.
Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: J.P. Lazzaro, New Hartford boys golf. Lazzaro shot an even-par 36 as the Spartans won a clash of undefeated sides when it topped Rome Free Academy 190-211 on April 24.
Potter and Perone Special Performance: Brett Degrenier, Oswego baseball. When the Buccaneers rolled past Fulton 13-1 on April 24, Degrenier was a standout at the plate with a pair of hits and a walk which led to four RBIs.
Premier Hardwood Premier Player: Anna Johannssen, Central Valley Academy softball. Johannssen’s double and two singles produced five RBIs helping the Thunder roll past Herkimer 10-2 on April 24.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Tim Gomez, Dolgeville boys track and field. Gomez won the 200-meter dash and finished third in the 100-meter dash to lead the Blue Devils during the April 24 Cahill Classic at Sauquoit Valley.
Rockbridge Investment Management Risk Taker: Makayla Hutchinson, Auburn girls lacrosse. Hutchinson’s 11 saves were the difference-maker for the Maroons as it battled to an 11-9 victory over Westhill on April 24.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Hailey Dupra, Cicero-North Syracuse flag football. Dupra threw for 181 yards and three touchdown while adding six tackles and an interception on defense in the Northstars’ 21-19 victory over Syracuse West on April 23.
Sierson Crane and Welding Superstar: Daniel Cohen, Thousand Islands boys lacrosse. The Vikings got a 12-7 victory over Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on April 25 helped in no small part by Cohen picking up five goals and adding an assist.
Top Notch Roofing Top Star: Kaelyn Mayo, Oriskany softball. Mayo blasted a home run, added a single and delivered four RBIs for the Skyhawks in the course of a 15-5 victory over New York Mills on April 22.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Cora Wheeler, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill girls track and field winning the 100-meter hurdles to add to her long jump title as the Red Devils took the team large-school title in the Cahill Classic at Sauquoit Valley on April 24.
U.S. Army Athlete of the Week: Alex Miller, Hannibal baseball. In a 5-4 victory over Cato-Meridian on April 24 Miller did it all from pitching a complete game with 10 strikeouts without surrendering a walk to a pair of doubles and RBIs at the plate.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Caden Green, Fayetteville-Manlius boys lacrosse. Piling up six goals and three assists, Green led the Hornets as it rolled past Liverpool 17-6 on April 23.
Wonder Windows Winning Performance: Reese Ferstler, Chittenango girls lacrosse. The Bears put away Bishop Ludden-Grimes 20-3 on April 21 with Ferstler at the forefront doubling her opposition’s entire total through her six goals while tacking on an assist.
