APEX Amazing Athlete: Edward Kuzawski, Oswego boys volleyball. Kuzawski piled up 22 kills to lead the Buccaneers’ front line in a four-set victory over Central Square on September 24.
Atlas Fence All-Star: Kyra Priesma, Mount Markham girls soccer. The Mustangs won its ninth in a row romping past Waterville 10-0 on September 25 with Priesma pouring in a pair of goals and adding four assists.
B&B Lumber Big Mover: Brayden Mack, Mexico football. Mack set a new career mark with five touchdowns while rushing for 155 yards on 10 carries when the Tigers beat Sherburne-Earlville 55-12 on September 26.
Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Subeen Park, New Hartford girls swimming. With her time of 1:07.25 in the 100 breaststroke Park qualified for November’s NYSPSHAA championships and won September 27 at the Lady Yeti Invitational in Webster.
CNY Softwash & Pressure Washing Superstar: Isabel Normanly, Cicero-North Syracuse field hockey. When the Northstars won 2-0 over archrival Liverpool on September 24 Normanly scored both of her team’s goals in the second quarter.
Fire Brothers Red-Hot Performance: Alex Radley, Lyme boys soccer. Radley not only put up four goals, he got three assists which helped Lyme roar past Watertown IHC 9-0 on September 25.
The Image Press Icon: Luke Pelton, Rome Free Academy boys cross country. Pelton finished best among Section III runners with his third-place effort in the Large School division at the September 27 E.J. Herrmann Invitational in Utica.
Little York Plantation Play of the Week: Kyler Farina, Oneida girls soccer, hitting the game’s only goal in the first half which helped the Express finally earn its first win of the season September 23 edging Camden 1-0.
Mabey’s Moving and Storage Major Mover: Alyssa Capuana, Utica Notre Dame girls tennis. Capuana has won every match in doubles and then got a singles point to key the Jugglers’ narrow 4-3 victory over Central Valley Academy on September 27.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Devon Silvernail, Canastota football. When Canastota put away Adirondack 49-13 on September 26 to move to 4-0 on the season Silvernail ran for 227 yards on just nine carries and netted five touchdowns.
M. Lemp Jewelers Rewarding Effort: Sienna Rhode, ESM/Liverpool gymnastics. Rhode had an all-around score of 37.5 which easily topped all individuals during ESM/Liverpool’s 129.1-125.75 victory over Baldwinsville on September 20.
Mooney Marketing Group/Bristol 7 Enterprises Major Performance: Daisy Milton, Weedsport field hockey. With a goal and assist in the second half, Milton was essential to the Wolverines ending Cazenovia’s six-game win streak with a 3-1 victory on September 23.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Zach Cooper, Christian Brothers Academy boys golf. Shooting a career-best 32 for nine holes Cooper led the Brothers past Phoenix 182-232 on September 23.
O’Hara Electric Electrifying Play: Vivian Pilon, Marcellus girls swimming, beating the field in the September 27 Lady Yeti Invitational at Webster with a time of 23.85 seconds which qualified her for November’s NYSPHSAA championships.
110 Grill Award of Excellence: Khariana Carpenter, Watertown girls tennis. It took Carpenter’s narrow three-set singles victory over Summer Speight to help the Cyclones fight past Carthage 3-2 on September 24.
Onondaga Flooring Outstanding Achievement: Layla Owens, Institute of Technology Central girls volleyball. With her 12 kills, three aces and eight digs Owens was a central figure in ITC’s five-set victory over Jordan-Elbridge on September 22.
Premier Hardwood Premier Player: Toran Zehr, Lowville football. Establishing itself as the Class D team to beat Lowville topped Beaver River 40-8 on September 26 with Zehr running for a pair of touchdowns and throwing for another.
Purcell Paints Prime Performer: Alyssa Collins, Frankfort-Schuyler girls soccer. Collins earned a three-goal hat trick and the Maroon Knights shut out Herkimer 4-0 on September 26 to remain undefeated with its ninth win in a row.
Rockbridge Management Investment Risk Taker: David Pierce, Onondaga football. The Tigers earned its first win of the season 27-0 over Altmar-Parish-Williamstown on September with Pierce going 14-for-18 through the air for 218 yards and a touchdown.
Senke CNY Garage Door Sensational Star: Keagan Micensik, Liverpool boys volleyball. The Legends got a four-set victory over Baldwinsville on September 23 as Micenski earned a unique double-double of 10 kills and 20 assists, plus four blocks.
Sierson Crane and Welding Superstar: Danica Smith, Homer girls volleyball. Between her 38 assists, 11 digs and three aces Smith helped the Trojans fight to a five-set victory over the Chittenango Bears on September 25.
Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists Stellar Athlete: Charles Hyman, Belleville-Henderson boys soccer. When the Panthers put together a 5-0 shutout of Beaver River on September 23 Hyman carried the attack with three goals and an assist.
Top Notch Roofing Top Star: Maia Hegberg, Sackets Harbor girls soccer. Hegberg put up three goals to earn a hat trick, helping power the Patriots past South Lewis 5-2 on September 24.
University Sports Shop/Manny’s Major Moment: Anna Dominski, Baldwinsville field hockey, scoring the goal in the third quarter which helped the Bees edge Little Falls 1-0 and win its own Huntington Tournament on September 27.
Upstate Spray Foam Special Performance: Natalie Cortright, Clinton girls cross country. With her fourth-place individual finish Cortright helped the Comets earn the Varsity Small School team title in the September 27 E.J. Herrmann Invitational in Utica.
U.S. Army Athlete of the Week: Perry Planck, Cato-Meridian football. Planck completed all four of his passes for 108 yards and three of them were for touchdowns when the undefeated Blue Devils routed Herkimer 60-8 on September 25.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Royce Thomas, LaFayette boys golf. Shooting a 35 for nine holes at Orchard Vali, Thomas led the way for the Lancers defeating McGraw 199-207 on September 26.
Wonder Windows Winning Performance: Anna Bjork, Cazenovia girls volleyball. Picking up 22 assists and adding eight digs, Bjork was central to the Lakers’ three-set sweep of LaFayette on September 22.
