Byrne Dairy Prime Performer: Mitchell Riter, Cortland-Homer ice hockey. Riter gained three goals and one assist as the Golden Eagles edged CBA/Jamesville-DeWitt 6-5 on February 2, avenging an earlier defeat to the Brothers.
Empower Federal Credit Union Rewarding Effort: Gabby Putman, Cicero-North Syracuse girls indoor track and field. Putman was victorious in the 3,000 and 600-meter runs during the February 2 SCAC Metro division championships at SRC Arena.
Ethan Allen Award of Excellence: Haley Otis, Mount Markham girls volleyball. The Mustangs, 15-0 on the season, got another three-set sweep over Waterville on February 2 as Otis put together 10 assists, seven digs and two aces.
Mooney Marketing Group Major Performance: Jaden Kaplan, Cazenovia boys indoor track and field. Wins in the 300 and 600-meter runs by Kaplan helped the Lakers claim team honors in the February 1 OHSL Division 1 championships at SRC Arena.
Nye Automotive Mark of Excellence: Sanai Lee, Henninger girls basketball. With her 19 points, eight assists, six steals and five rebounds, Lee helped the Black Knights beat state-ranked Liverpool 70-67 on January 31 and avenge a 33-point loss to the Warriors earlier season.
Revitalize! CNY Rewarding Performance: Andrew Haddad, Canastota boys volleyball. All Haddad did in the Raiders’ five-set victory over Sauquoit Valley on January 31 was get seven kills, five blocks, 14 digs, three assists and two aces.
Wilkins RV Winning Player: Tucker Rosbrook, General Brown boys basketball. Rosbrook poured in 35 points and helped carry the Lions to a 61-53 victory over the Carthage Comets on February 2.
Zero Draft Defensive Standout: Mason Jones, Auburn ice hockey. Stopping all 22 shots he faced, Jones helped the Maroons to a 1-0 victory over the Liverpool Warriors February 2 at Casey Park.
