Atlas Fence All-Star: Macy Shultz, South Jefferson girls basketball. Preserving an undefeated season, the Spartans fought past the General Brown Lions 50-45 on March 20 with Shultz a key factor, producing a team-high 17 points that included three 3-pointers.
Holbrook Heating and Air Conditioning Male Athlete of the Week: Evan Edwards, Chittenango boys volleyball. Helped by Edwards’ 10 kills and six digs, the Bears avenged a defeat to Mount Markham earlier in the week, beating the Mustangs in four sets on March 20.
Holbrook Heating and Air Conditioning Female Athlete of the Week: Georgia Langan, Fayettevile-Manlius girls swimming. The Hornets defeated the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams 99-79 on March 23 with Langan earning first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Maris Ryan, Jamesville-DeWitt girls volleyball. Keeping the Red Rams undefeated as it knocked off the West Genesee Wildcats in three sets on March 25, Ryan amassed 20 assists, adding eight digs and three kills.
Nagle Turf Winning Moment: Jahkese Rivers, Henninger football, scoring the game’s lone touchdown in the first quarter of the Black Knights’ 6-0 victory over the Corcoran Cougars in a Syracuse city showdown March 20 at Sunnycrest Field.
Sports Center 481 Driving Force: Tucker Rosbrook, General Brown boys basketball. With his double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds to go with three steals, Rosbrook led the Lions past the Watertown Cyclones 75-64 on March 20 to improve to 5-1 overall.
Summitcars.com Coach of the Week: Alex Rybczak, East Syracuse Minoa boys volleyball. Rybczak and the Spartans made its varsity debut on March 24 and pulled off a victory, defeating the more established Central Square Redhawks in four sets.
Syracuse Fitness Store Standout: Rachel Yardley, Central Valley Academy girls basketball. Improving to 4-1 overall, the Thunder pulled away from the Herkimer Magicians 65-44 on March 24 led by Yardley, who poured in a team-high 22 points.
Syracuse Orthopedic Surgeons Student-Athlete: Bayley Meade, McGraw girls soccer. Playing a March-April schedule instead of the fall, the Eagles prevailed 3-0 over the Madison Blue Devils on March 24 as Meade netted two of McGraw’s three goals.
Syracuse Sauna King Superstar: Devin Youker, Canastota football. In a dazzling season debut March 20, Youker gained 258 yards on just nine carries and scored three touchdowns as the Raiders shut out the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders 35-0.
U.S. Army Male Athlete: Cody Powis, Copenhagen boys basketball. Earning 16 points and six rebounds, Powis was a big reason why the Gold Knights, just 4-9 going into the game, shocked the 10-1 Sackets Harbor Patriots 49-48 on March 25.
U.S. Army Female Athlete: Hana Spaulding, Skaneateles girls swimming. Spaulding’s quick times of 1:56.64 in the 200 freestyle and 52.97 seconds in the 100 freestyle proved dazzling for the Lakers as it defeated the West Genesee Wildcats 114-67 on March 25.
