Atlas Fence All-Star: Alexis Bates, Poland girls soccer. It was Bates’ pair of goals that helped the Tornadoes fight past Schenevus 4-3 and repeat as regional Class D champions on November 5.
E.J. Electric Electrifying Performance: Alex Collver, New Hartford football. With his 35 carries for 311 yards and five touchdowns, Collver and the Spartans pushed past Syracuse ITC 49-20 in the November 5 Section III Class B semifinal.
Holbrook Heating and Air Conditioning Male Athlete of the Week: James Dapson, Morrisville-Eaton football. Running for a touchdown and catching two other scoring passes, Dapson led the Warriors past South Lewis 44-6 in the November 6 Section III eight-man football semifinal.
Holbrook Heating and Air Conditioning Female Athlete of the Week: John Michael, West Canada Valley football. Scoring three first-half touchdowns, Michael set the tone for the Indians in knocking off Weedsport 58-18 in the Section III eight-man football semifinal on November 5.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa Megastar: Riley Warren-Nichols, Fayetteville-Manlius girls soccer. When the Hornets defeated Shenendehowa 3-2 in the November 6 regional Class AA final, Warren-Nichols had a big day, scoring a pair of goals.
Nagle Turf Winning Moment: David Petercsak, Skaneateles boys soccer, hitting the overtime goal that helped the Lakers knock off Owego 2-1 in the November 6 regional Class B champoinship game in Oneonta.
Shute’s Water Systems Star Performance: Jared Bilinski, Dolgeville football. The Blue Devils beat Adirondack 20-6 in the Section III Class D final on November 12 as Bilinski ran for 257 yards on 25 carries and scored on runs of 84 and 43 yards.
Syracuse Fitness Store Standout: Quinn Moore, Liverpool boys volleyball. Moore earned 38 assists and nine digs and helped the Warriors dethrone Cicero-North Syracuse in three sets on November 6 to win the Section III Division I championship.
Syracuse Orthopedic Surgeons Student-Athlete: Anna Rayhill, New Hartford girls soccer. The Spartans beat Queensbury 6-0 in the Class A regional playoffs, with Rayhill close to unstoppable as she picked up four goals and one assist.
Syracuse Sauna King Superstar: Sarah Louer, Marcellus girls volleyball. When the Mustangs defeated Westhill in four sets for the Section III Class B championship on November 5, Louer picked up 20 kills and added 12 digs.
U.S. Army Male Athlete: Syair Torrence, Christian Brothers Academy football. Torrence’s trio of first-half touchdowns were part of a six-reception, 138-yard effort as the Brothers beat Indian River 61-26 in the November 12 Section III Class A championship game.
U.S. Army Female Athlete: Rory Comer, Skaneateles girls volleyball. In a dramatic Section III Class C final, the Lakers rallied from two sets down to beat Solvay in five sets as Comer accumulated 17 assists, 12 digs and three kills.
Zero Draft Defensive Standout: A.J. Rothfeld, Cazenovia football. Even though Cazenovia lost 30-16 to Skaneateles in the Section III Class C semifinal, Rothfeld picked up 15 tackles and also earned an interception.
